Youth Service Bureau

The Worth Township Youth Service Bureau was established in April 1964. It is one of the oldest continuous providers of individual and family counseling in the State of Illinois. The Bureau has been cited on numerous occasions for its productive efforts in dealing with troubled youth and diverting them from the Criminal Justice System.

Services Provided
The services of the Youth Service Bureau are available to any juvenile under the age of 18, as well as to his or her family. Referrals may come directly from the parents, police departments, juvenile courts, schools, or churches within Worth Township. Services provided are:
  • Anger Management Program
  • Individual and family counseling
  • Peer Jury Program

There is a fee charged for counseling services based on a sliding scale from $5 - $20, based on the recipient's ability to pay.

Professional Staff
The staff is well-credentialed and possesses extensive experience working with troubled youth and their families. All therapists are licensed therapists. 

Confidentiality Policy
In accordance with State Statutes, all information regarding juveniles is handled in strict confidence, according to the Mental Health Records Act.
