Staff Biographies

Kathleen Moroz LCSWkathleen

Kathy received her MSW for U of IL-Chicago and a Masters of Educational Administration from Governors State University.  She has worked as a school social worker, special education administrator and community mental health therapist in Illinois and Michigan.  She believes that life events can sometimes be challenging.  Counseling services assist children and families to identify their strengths and supports to overcome these challenges and succeed in reaching their goals.

Sue McCarthy  LCSW

 I have been working with families for more than 22 years!  I enjoy helping families to work together to make their own lives better.  I believe that every person has their own personal skill set and strengths that can be used to improve their life situation. I earned my Masters in Social Work from Governors State University and have been a counselor at the Youth Service Bureau for over 8 years. 







Kelly

Kelly Schmeltzer  LCSW

Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Oakland University and graduate degree from Dominican University.  Kelly has experience working with children, adolescents, families and groups. She has worked with children in a group home setting providing supervision and therapy. She has worked with clients treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Kelly uses goal setting in her sessions with her clients in an effort to empower them during their time in therapy






Gail

Gail Nestor-Loo    LCSW,ACSW

Gail, originally from Oak Lawn, received her BSW from Western Michigan and her MSW from U of IL-Chicago.  She has been a school social worker the South suburbs for 32 years.  She is the Co-founder of the High School Social Workers of South Suburbia.  She has been in private practice for 10 years in Orland Park and Flossmoor.   Gail received her MA in Education Administration in 2005 from Governors State.  She will be completing her Ed.D from National Louis University in May, 2018.  She has been an adjunct professor at Indiana University Northwest graduate school of social work for 2 years.  Gail has been at Worth Township for 2 years.  Working with children, adolescents, and their families has always been her passion.

I am the Administrative Assistant for the Youth Service Bureau. I have been with the YSB for 3yrs. As the administrative assistant I understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality and I would be happy to assist you with scheduling counseling appointments with our licensed therapists or answer any questions you may have regarding our Counseling Department.
